About Jaye

Jaye Pool enjoys writing character-driven stories touching on themes such as faith deconstruction and spiritual rebirth, familial bonds, romantic relationships, mental health, and self-discovery. Her stories are often developed against a backdrop that melds historical and cultural touchstones with creative flourishes. In addition to her upcoming novels, she has written several short stories and poems, one of which was recognized by Vocal Media.

She studied political science and sociology at The Ohio State University, and earned a PhD in political science from the University of Cincinnati.

Jaye is also a member of an improv troupe, Cincy Sketchprov, and is the creator and host of Potstirrer Podcast. It was while podcasting that she rediscovered her love for creative writing, a passion originating from her childhood. Originally from Detroit, Michigan, she currently lives in Cincinnati, Ohio, a happily married pet parent
